DSEAP – An Overview

DSEAP Started functioning on a small scale in late 1980`s with 8 students from Seven Day Adventist School Kotri. The local donors and the Philanthropist met time to time in Kotri - Sindh and its site areas and some time in Karachi. After lengthy deliberations, It was concluded in 1993 that something more visible must be done for the poor community in different parts of the country, particularly Sindh. In this respect 12 GENERAL NURSES (3 Years diploma course) were trained at Seven Day Adventist Hospital Karachi. Few midwifives were sponsored and trained by the DSEAP members. The total expenditure incurred in this training programs was borne by the DSEAP Pakistan.

The DSEAP donors started taking keen interest in the School Education and many students that are more 400 students were provided with School fee, School bags, Stationary, Uniforms and School, shoes, throughout the country where ever deserving communities were suffering. Their children had no access to any sort of education. As the time passed the local donors decided to help poor deserving people with small business (CHOTA ROZGAR) Scheme was also introduced. A lot many deserving people benefited from this scheme, at the same time, some deserving people were given Bicycles, Motorcycles and Rickshaws to meet their needs of transportation and livelihood.

In 2009 the DSEAP was established as nonprofit civil society organization in Hyderabad having national coverage. The registered office was open in Latifabad, Unit No 6, Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan, and other provincial Offices will be opened at an appropriate time.

The main areas of operation of the DSEAP will be mainly Sindh and Punjab. The DSEAP members will make sure that the DSEAP will remains non-profit making organization, non-polocitical and non- religious basis it will function for the whole society without any discrimination, caste or creed. It will be purely working as a civil society organization.

A group of dedicated Pakistanis (working for DSEAP)living in the USA started Supporting Underprivileged community in Sindh and Punjab and their main focus was to educate the under privileged and very poor students.

TwoSchools were established in Karachi and Lahore, namely:
1. ST. CATHERINES MIDDEL SCHOOLS in KARACHI.
2. THE DSEAP SCHOOL PLAYGROUP TO MATRIC in LAHORE.
